CIO threatens to replace everyone with jobs in low cost countries. What the heck is that??? Project managers get zero respect. And that comes from management and flows down. Seen as administrative overhead and no say in the process or tools. People who are not PMs make the decisions without any practical experience. And things don’t work but no one will listen or allows actual PMs to participate in decision making. There is also no room for growth for PMs. Open positions are generally replaced with the few selected favorites. Generally not a good environment.

PPG does not do well with retaining employees for any length of time. Lots of years of 2.5% raises from a company that spent hundreds of millions on buying out competing businesses and billions on stock buy backs and at the end of the day crumbs on the table for you. Managers who are clueless and without empathy for employees who live paycheck to paycheck. Don’t waste your best years for this company.
