      Pros

      There is a great sense of camaraderie when working there. Jerks are few and far between, and the company wants to keep it that way.

      Cons

      Naturally, working in the labs can be dirty, and some of the buildings don't have air conditioning. They do give out free water if the temperature is high though.

      Good benefits. Caring people who are involved in their community. Strong financials. Cautious in their investments.

      Cons

      Measured advancement opportunities. PPG is old-school, don't expect to be CEO in five years. Benefits are withering over time. Current management slave to stock price. Cautious investment strategy can mean PPG is second (or third) to market in its smaller business units.

      Decent place to work with good benefits.Management does some good things to reward employees .Give you opportunities to give ideas to be implemented into the work place.

      Cons

      Bad management and decision making.Lot of dishonesty and disloyalty.Will not give you much opportunity to redeem yourself from certain mistakes.They want you to be honest but punish you for doing so.
