In summary, there was a significant diversity deficit throughout the organization, particularly in leadership roles. The workload was overwhelming and compensation was inadequate. I recommend discussing salary with your team members, as I discovered a significant pay discrepancy compared to a colleague in the same position but with less experience after leaving. The company lacks a formal training structure, relying instead on varying expectations from senior team members. Additionally, it is common for responsibilities to increase without corresponding pay adjustments.

The business functions more as a medical communications company since its grants are funded by pharmaceutical companies rather than an educational company, which I felt crossed ethical guidelines. By, nature all CME companies funded by pharma companies tailor their education to pharma's desires but I (erroneously) assumed there would be more stringent legal barriers than there are. I would not recommend the role for someone who is not a fan of pharmaceutical marketing.
