Hi Everyone! Are you tired of some of the unhealthy politics/personalities that go on in some companies? Well, look no further than PW Media. The boss/owner is extremely deliberate and careful about who he selects to be in his company. The result - the nicest, most caring group of people you could ever, ever work with. Every SINGLE employee is an absolute pleasure to work with. As a result, the group is very tightknit and very work productive. If you have a question, everyone will help because they see your success as success for the whole team. This is an important company value due to the owner's emphasis on teamwork and community. The owner treats everyone with a mix of kindness, fun and encouragement. This positivity definitely permeates the work environment. During the day, the boss likes to come over to your workstation to chat a bit and to check on your work. Fun is definitely encouraged as long as you are committed to your work. We had a bit of a laugh giving the boss a Star Wars doll placed strategically in his chair while he was on vacation. In most previous jobs, I had mandatory overtime. Very DC right. They expected you to leave around 6 pm or 6:30 pm. Here, the boss is definitely pro-5:00 pm with a start time of 8:30 am. The boss values that people have important things to take care of in the evening and feels that working a strong 8 hours is enough. Any loose strings can simply be taken care of the next day. But note, deadlines are very important. They need to be met. As a result, the pace of the work is very quick which is the way I think it should be. It's a place that takes a bit of getting used to, but it is definitely a place to thrive. Overall, this was a gem of a company to work for.
