Pros

Company is a large successful co-op with a small company feeling. Low turnover. Benefits are good. CEO is very good. People are friendly.

Cons

Many people at corporate are engrained and know nothing other than this company. Management is difficult to challenge. Change is very slow and painful. People are not trained, instead outside consultants are brought in. Stodgy.

Pros

Stable, slow-paced company for those with little ambition, People can be friendly. Benefits are nice. Stable industry, canned fruit will be around forever probably.

Cons

Management is terrible. Sales team is pampered, though not talented. Employee annual reviews are subjective and poorly structured. Most people are either coasting into retirement or complain that they just need a job. Decision makers do not like to be challenged. No collaboration. Company is definitely not driven by results. Company hires contract workers and consultants for any difficult work. CEO, executives, and VPs treat lower level employees with a false kindness and always speak about things indirectly. Many departments are forced to work overtime while higher ups get paid very well, working less than 8 hours a day. Not a good place for young talent. Last resort workplace, really. Recent college graduates should avoid this place! Also, lots of old men managing younger woman.
