self-serving and self-dealing culture

- remote work, flexible PTO plan

Cons

A lot of talk, zoom meetings and documentation without 1 differentiating product. During my tenure, there were more than a dozen employees let go because of “changing business priorities/needs.” The team I worked on pivoted on nearly every initiative with zero commitment and total lack of focus. User research does not exist and teams do not understand the customer or the value of branding. I had high expectations and was let down. What a disappointing experience.

Contributing to a better planet through green energy solutions

Cons

The company is constantly pivoting priorities. There are very few positions in this company that guarantee a long term career. But that's how Startups work. One day you're a valued team member, next day you're not needed and they'll let you go in a second.

Pros

most of the people who haven't been fired are fun, kind, and caring.

Cons

terrible ceo. endless lying. zero job security. don't believe his responses on other reviews. never know what mood he'll be in and how you'll pay for it. hosts meetings where he curses at employees. most employees who work hard go unrecognized. everyone at the company walks on thin ice. worst part is, sr, leadership supports him. what can they do i guess? he's ceo. culture of transparency is complete bs. not a start up culture even though that's what they try to claim because of bad behavior.

Update: This review is 20 months old. Morale is great! Great culture! Growing rapidly! Profitable! CEO really cares about his employees and customers. Agonized about the reorg and the impact it would have employees that would be affected by eliminating their positions but made the hard decisions that needed to be made. He has a passion for clean energy (for over 20 yrs). CEO is very open and transparent about all aspects of the business. No sugar coating challenges on his part, along w/ taking open responsibility when it falls on him.
