Upper-management will always be in your face. They’ll keep checking and hovering over you to see if you are making any mistake, or to point out your mistakes. And if they’d hear you complain about this you will be labeled as immature and selfish, because these do not embody the ‘Panda Way’. Lol Also, they prefer to sell food, especially vegetables that already have molds on them and you’ll be told to remove the molds and wash them off and that they are all still good to use. Why? Because sales profit is more important than food safety and gaining a lot of bonus money for saving on ingredients (avoiding wasted ingredients) is what matters most. But you see, they in fact implement to check food safety but saving vegetables with molds in them contradicts the purpose of these food safety checks. Ridiculous, right? A lot of hypocrisy and upper-management expects to be treated like some kind of royalty , that when they make a surprise visit you must make sure you ought to not show up with any imperfections and you gotta remind your associates to behave accordingly in a way that won’t make your district manager look bad to their regional manager. A lot of blaming each other happens instead of working on fixing the problem, too much talking and reacting unnecessarily happens. Also if you aren’t Asian and are not used to this toxic culture, don’t even bother to apply for a job here. Even Asian people themselves who currently work or have been employed in this company have expressed the same sentiments. You will also be expected to work for 10-15 hours a day due to being often short-staffed. And you have to make sure that you make the drive thru time less than a 2 minutes a transaction. You can’t make mistakes and you have to hurry up everytime. If you prefer to work in place that does not rush you to finish everything you do with so much sense of urgency then don’t work here.
