Pros

Lots of clinical hours, free food, great experience with intense cases, working on a team

Cons

Team felt divided, leadership does not always address employee concerns, inconsistent discipline/ standards for clients/ staff, questionable ethics at points, lack of communication from management, favoritism, workload ( SO MUCH paperwork), lack of training for new staff (get thrown in to the deep end)

The managers and leads care about their team Staffing is usually good and you can find coverage The benefits are comprehensive All my co-workers care about mental health and about the clients Great entry level position for someone looking for clinical hours A no touch facility

Cons

The hours for shifts are pretty fixed Some instability in scheduling, but they are very communicative about it

Pros

Great opportunity to come alongside youth and be a consistent support system in their lives, experience what it's like to run group sessions/therapy, work with a team

Cons

-Low pay -Overworked -The client/staff ratio is unsustainable -Clinical Assistants are at the bottom of the pyramid which means when leadership is overwhelmed, more tasks get thrown onto CA's -There are no lunch breaks; with clients for 8 straight hours
