Pros

At least it is new media, and you will work your butt off. They are willing to try almost anything to make a buck.

Cons

That said they wont but up the resources to make many good ideas really work, senior management terrified of Redstone, and the only real concern is what to do about the stock price. Compensation is terrible, benefits not too good either.

Pros

As with CNET Networks, which makes up the bulk of the crew here (at least in SF), high points include a large group of friendly, intelligent people, and a climate that is casual yet energized. It's definitely a place you can make friends AND learn quite a bit.

Cons

Advancing in your field isn't always easy here--the move up the chain is slow, and upper management is difficult to break into if you don't have an MBA and/or a marketing background.

Pros

Now that CBS is our parent company I feel that there is more stability in financially uncertain times. I like the people I work with.

Cons

Not really much room for advancement since the organization structure is pretty flat. No raises this year and the benefits under CBS aren't as good as when we were CNET.
