Pros

At it's core, Pariveda is focused on identifying growth opportunities for its employees. The expectations framework adopted by management provides a fair, transparent roadmap for developing your skills, and yearly review for promotions provides consistent opportunities for career growth. An added benefit of this framework-based approach is salary equity across the company.

Cons

As with other consulting opportunities, staffing can be a challenge. Some will find themselves bouncing from project to project, while others may end up on a client for years at a time. While it does feel like management has made an effort to smooth out the staffing process, it still feels like you have very little control over which kind of project you are going to be staffed on, and for how long you will be staffed.

- Not a great fit for a person who wants to solely work with software, you need to develop and apply other business skills to be successful - You don’t always get your choice of what technologies or types of problems to work with, especially early on in your career

Pros

Pariveda Solutions has been an incredible place to start and continue my career. Specifically, I have found that the formal and informal mentorship I've received has been instrumental for my own development as a consultant and as an individual. I truly value the mentors that I have had who have cared about my career trajectory as well as how I'm doing, what I hope to achieve in life, and more outside of just work. Additionally, Pariveda has transparent pay practices where you do not need to worry about promotion limits or caps. They generally hires well-rounded people who contribute to an environment of collaboration and servant leadership.

Cons

If you want to pursue development off the beaten track in other areas outside of technical implementation, it is difficult to achieve this in the lower levels at the company. You really have to pave your own way, advocate and create space for yourself for other disciplines in the product, UX/CX, business, and strategic spaces since this work is not the "bread and butter" of projects sold.
