Pros

- Some people truly care about you - Great benefits and 401(k) match - Non-competitive promotions - Transparent pay

Cons

This company was struggling with attrition. There aren't enough experienced consultants for the work they do Post-COVID lockdown. Plenty of people left for various reasons, but mine are listed at the end of this review. They really try hard to market themselves as "THE place to be", but it's all talk. There are better options out there. Pariveda had to send damage control emails to keep the talent pool they still had. One email related to pay mentioned that even though the pay isn't that high, promotional raises are the best here. Another email from the CEO mentioned that Pariveda lets you build unique solutions but other firms will make you work like an assembly line. They were announcing a salary raise and acting like it was going to be the best thing ever .... it wasn't that impressive and felt like a slap on the cheek. Without further ado, these are my cons: - Easy to burn out. They really do push you to be the best. The company is best for fast-paced Type A people. There are people who feel the burnout, but I think that's how consulting is. - Below market pay for software developers. Associates, which are team-lead level developers, earn roughly the same as a mid-level developer at big companies. The pay is not negotiable and there are no bonuses. The fact that the CEO and upper management had to send out a damage control email is a clear sign they knew we were underpaid. They pay just isn't worth the headaches this company causes. - Only 1 career path which leads to sales. Pariveda aims your career towards management and then sales/account management. This isn't entirely bad unless you want to become a tech lead/software architect or other techy roles. - Cult tendencies (1): Pariveda's feedback loop system is a way for them to mold you into their ideal image. I don't think they value uniqueness as they claim. It's hard to be yourself at this company. The constant calling everyone a "fin" makes it feel that's all we are and nothing else. Once you show signs of not fitting in, it really feels like you're pushed away until you leave. - Cult tendencies (2): Pariveda claims this is the place to reach your full potential. The CEO emailed everyone saying Pariveda creates solutions while other firms are just working on assembly line work. Not going to lie but this type of language smells like a cult's promise. - Some people are fake. The company promotes empathy and care. Some people put on a facade but it does leak.

Pros

Some interesting projects with interesting technology.

Cons

The management is an inept old boy's club, false promises : I can't tell you how many people were promised promotions and never saw them, complete lack of diversity : you better hope you are best friends with management for many years previous

Pros

There are many good things about Pariveda: we have a transparent pay-scale, an ESOP, a clearly defined career path, and a large emphasis on mentorship that will help you feel supported in your career journey. Additionally, with Pariveda being so mission-driven it can leave you feeling inspired to find what your personal passion is and integrate it into your professional life. This further boosts engagement and career growth which I personally value most. If you are looking to grow and be stretched in ways that you haven't before, this is the place to do that. There are many opportunities to have an impact on both your local market and the company as a whole regardless of your position.

Cons

With growth comes discomfort so not everyone will thrive under the strong feedback culture we have (although this was a personal growth area for myself that I was able to overcome at Pariveda). Additionally, your career is in your hands. While there is support and development opportunities along the way, it's ultimately up to you to take the initiative and implement changes as you grow. The commitment to growth and learning may not be for everyone.
