The structured growth model with consultant, associate, etc levels makes it difficult to 'sky rocket' to the top. If you are hired as a consultant, you have to hit every level between before you become a manager. Some people I have talked to about this scowl at the rigid structure and assumed rules it implies. I couldn't decide if this was a pro or a con. As an ambitious person it seems oppressive, but it also prevents incompetent leadership from gaining control. Everyone must learn before they lead. Realistically, if you really are a rock star in your field, you will become a VP at Pariveda as fast or faster than anywhere else.
Due to the pressure on our profits/cash from the rapid growth of Pariveda, year end bonuses are not often available. This might change in the future.
While most project do not demand long hours, sometimes deadlines and deployments require you to work late and/or on weekends. That is just the nature of IT consulting and while Pariveda mitigates this significantly, the company is not entirely immune.
