Pros

There is room for advancement and to become one of the people who write programs for the kids which make them much more individualized and beneficial for the child in comparison to some other centers where there may be one Program Supervisor writing programs for thirty children. Some of the people there are great and do good work, there can be some great progress in the kids.

Cons

It used to feel like the management genuinely wanted to help you grow as a therapist and provide great therapy but several corners have been cut and quality has really gone downhill. They cut the breaks from 15 minutes to 7 minutes which I'm unsure how that is even legal considering I remembered it being a state law that if you worked a full time shift you were entitled to two paid 15 minute breaks. You will have your team lead type be looking at their watch waiting to see if you're back within the seven minute mark. The reason why this change was implemented was due to wanting to stay in compliance with EIDBI rules of stopping billing therapy when longer than a 7 minutes of the therapist being out of the room happens. These breaks arent given to you either you have to ask your coworkers to be able to take a break. Soft spoken people just dont ask for a break as not to impose on the other therapists who would have to watch over more kids. Seldom if ever does anyone in management come to help provide coverage to ensure that people get breaks. They cut the size of therapy space to one quarter its previous dimensions and tried to frame it as a good thing. That we would be more "tight knit" when in reality many autistic people are sensitive to loud noise and greatly benefit from having space and a quieter environment. I have heard they have since changed sites but the fact that this happened at all and was framed as anything but difficult and chaotic is so insulting to their employees.
