Pros

Working for PartsSource has been very fulfilling experience for me overall. Although it is not without fault, I would expect a few pitfalls from any company growing as fast as we have been over the years. The people are one of the major reasons that I have stayed as long as I have, along with the challenging nature of my various positions. Contrary to other comments on here; The various promotions I have received over the years have been based on job performance and qualifications, rather than who I knew. The opposing views displayed earlier seem to be rantings of disgruntled former-employees looking to blame others for their short comings. Overall, PartsSource has a non-stop, fast paced environment that I would recommend to anyone with a strong work ethic and drive.

Cons

I am taking some time to speak to what I personally believe are false comments about executives asking employees to write positive comments on here. I was never asked to do so, and have been in a relatively high ranking position for many years. Reading that others have stated they were asked to do so seems completely falsified as it is opposes our current CEO's stance on just about everything. I would understand how people like me would see all of the negative reviews, and feel inclined to speak up about the company they have worked so hard for. In regard to my view of the present cons among the company, I only have one under the new leadership; The hiring of non-professional employees. The sales floor often times has a High School feel with a "rumor/gossip mill" big enough to rival the worst of reality TV. While I have never been a direct target of this behavior, I know many people that have felt personally attacked by the actions of others within the company. Completely unprofessional and immature from a group of "adults".

Pros

I do not have many great things to say, but most of the people there are really cool and easy to get along with.

Cons

A company that pays based on a made up quota. This company takes a percentage out of their sales reps paychecks for not hitting this quota. They do not actually tell the rep what the quota is until there are only a couple of days left in the month. They are great about firing several employees every year about a week before Christmas. They have threatened the whole sales floor that they would be thrown out the window for not following the insane amount of absurd rules they have. The pay is well below industry standard.

Pros

The pay for the role was decent and 401k match was good.

Cons

PTO package is lacking compared to similar companies. No career direction or progression for the department I was in. Communication happens in silos. The director I reported to was often times very inappropriate and used vulgar language. Also they were not good at delegating and would give me tasks to complete and then say I did them wrong after changing from the original request (moving the goal post). I was out of nowhere told I was under performing after never having an actual performance review or one on one specific to my performance; even though I submitted emails requesting them and submitted the employee self review in the HR system. I was let go out of nowhere which was fine as I had a 2nd job lined up to start in two weeks.
