A Very Focused, Impactful Business

Pros

The company serves a valuable role in healthcare and other industries, is focused on expanded value for their customers, and continues to grow. Nearly every function or department has been improved over the past 1-3 years.

Cons

The company is growing. That brings about more complexity but that is also exciting. Sometimes the goals / vision outstretch the realities of the people . processes / technologies but, again, there is a vision and investment.

Pros

-investing in people, processes and technology -create an environment for for feedback and participation -driving change in key markets -customer focused -ongoing communication from leadership about the state of the business, performance vs. goals, and market trends

Cons

-some borders between teams, getting better but still room for improvement -some growing pains, at times tackling too much at once as other projects/objectives have yet to be completed

Frequent Layoffs??

Pros

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The company was actively working on ways to improve employee engagement and improve the culture.

Cons

I was only there 10 months before they eliminated my position. The supervisor that I was hired in under had only been there for about 16 months before they eliminated his position. Sounds like they are quick to just lay people off when they want to make room in the budget - and they were plenty profitable so there is little true justification for that, in my opinion. After my supervisor was laid off, I reported up directly to the CTO who ignored me constantly.
