Women, Jews, and non-whites need not apply to the Anatomical Dept.
Pros
The job itself was fantastic. The work was interesting and there was ample opportunity to learn something new all the time.
Cons
The people. The culture fostered by the anatomical dept is one of 'Lets play the Blame Game.' Everything became about who messed up what and how it is everyone else's fault instead of solving problems together as a team. There was also a huge amount of dishonesty, I have never in my 10 years of working experience have ever encountered such dishonesty from management and those under management. This was absolutely shocking to me. In addition, racial slanders against Jews and people of color was allowed and made for a very uncomfortable work environment. I tried in a joking manner to diffuse the antisemitism by announcing Jewish heritage, this lead to what can only be described as being dumped upon, lied about, and ostracized. The feelings towards me by management went from great fondness to vitriol rather quickly after this proclamation. I was also told repeatedly by my co-workers that if I were a man, I wouldn't be treated this way or that way. Both of my co-workers were female and I am not sure how much validity there is to that not having a male co-worker to compare to. Overall the experience was shocking and how leadership allows the anatomical dept to be run this way is is insanity. My only thought is that they are lazy and don't want to have to find another manager.
