      Fast maturing company with cohesive leadership (even while new president is being recruited) and excited rank and file

      Great people oriented corporate culture across eBay...top management at eBay really cares about career development, diversity, open and honest culture Work life balance generally good, with flexible work from home culture (ok to phone in especially given the sprawling global employes presence across most teams...though that means APAC and EMEA hours in the workday) Investors see paypal as a "hot" company with a lot of runway potential ahead, albeit in a highly competitive field

      Still building processes of a smoothly oiled mature company, though has been an incredibly fast learning org over the past few years Performance assessment process has gotten broadly mixed reviews, so is being revamped

      Pros

      The values that Ebay Inc strives for are worthy of emulation by any company or individual. It's a place with heart ; which is quite amazing given the size of the company. Huge business in online payments and security differentiation. Simplified product structure recently makes for greater sakes focus.

      Cons

      Too many senior level people that are fluffy both in management and technical tracks. Lots of hand waving by these folks who don't understand payments business or payments tech and think that PayPal is a web startup or that it is a new programming language that will change the payments ecosystem. Too many very senior programmer type people who don't understand payments and are rewarded for implementing basic dev environment tooling and custom infra that is slowing down engineering productivity.

      Limited Growth & Lack of innovation

      Good salary, benefits and decent work/life balance

      Cons

      Reorgs happen frequently and results show in lack of innovation by staff. Office culture is clique driven and offers no growth if you're not part if the clique. High staff turnover at all levels, reduces productivity and focus of staff.
