      Changing PayPal from being Good to being a Great Place to be

      Pros

      There seem to be interesting events every day at PayPal where opportunities to make a difference are plentiful. Provided you are in a group that supports self initiative, innovation and enthusiasm. Great People to work with. Great products. It is fun and challenging.

      Cons

      Change is a constant. Changing our ways for the better is great if time is given for those changes to settle in and bear fruits. When to pivot the company's direction is key. Most employees just assume certain times of the year changes will happen. Hence the promise to make things better because of the change loose impact. This causes certain level mistrust in the changes introduced.

      Pros

      The company rewards there employees with many events that occur through out the year, benefits are great. If you are driven you have the potential to move around or up. Usually have to start entry level unless you come in as a director or above.

      Cons

      Watch who you share your thoughts with, upper management does try to throw you under the bus instead of taking accountability. There are a few good managers at PayPal but as any company very politically driven.

      Pros

      The work atmosphere was really awesome. The management definitely took care of it's employees. Flexible hours. Bonus incentives for performance. On site gym / restaurant. Most employees are happy and nice to be around. Very good chance to grow within the company.

      Cons

      The work itself. Answering the phones to calm angry customers was the only con at PayPal.
