Pros

Decent benefits and somewhat stable work environment.

Cons

Pay well below industry standard. Incompentent managers. Useless training. Outdated software. I had to hear stories from my immediate supervisor about how she crapped her pants and urinated in a cooler in her car in the company parking lot rather than come back inside.

Pros

We have lots of fun. Dress up days, homemade boat races, pot lucks, etc. The employees there are a really nice bunch of people to work for. They really are. Denver has beautiful weather. It is a great place to work. The team really works hard together to reach our goals. They offer the sales reps a chance to go to Conference, Circle and Ice each year. The location is located in Hawaii and the Bahamas. They are off to the Bahamas this year.

Cons

It's far away from everything, near the airport. No chance for overtime. No where to go up, unless I want to be in sales. I think the support team should be aloud to go to Conference as well. The DSM goes if the team is over quota but the FSS does not.

Pros

Paychex is exceptionally dedicated to training and offers great benefits. They flew me out to Rochester and put me up in a suite for 3 weeks for training when I first started. Then they sent me back three months later for a week of follow-up training. As an added benefit, it really built camaraderie and a sense of belonging. That is so important in building teamwork and making people want to go the extra mile as opposed to screw the company the first chance they get.

Cons

It's payroll and benefits. Boring. I guess I prefer having products that are more interesting or innovative. For those that do not perform well, you will probably leave before you are let go because you can't make a good living without hitting your sales goals. Also, they often promote the best sales people into sales management without recognizing that the skills that make someone a good salesperson are often not translated into being a good manager.
