Pros

For anyone looking into a sales role at Paycom, this is the right fit for you if you aren't afraid of hard work and want to be the best person/professional/sales rep possible. The training program is by far the best experience I have been a part of where we came out of it ready to close deals on our own, where we learned directly from the best sales people in the organization, and where we were challenged to be people of high character. Could not speak more highly of my experience.

Cons

The training was lengthy, so you will need to be prepared to spend time away from your family/friends. Still very worth it, but it is a commitment.

Pros

- $1 Health care - $4 catered lunches deducted from Paycheck - Good immediate/mid-level leadership - Pays well

Cons

- Does not value employees in the slightest - don't believe the LinkedIn posts. The kool aid is strong over there. - No flexibility. Zero. - Changed everything that made Paycom an elite company to work for

Pros

There are absolutely no pros to working at Paycom. Steer clear of this clown show

Cons

There are too many to comprehensively list, but I will mention a few from the standpoint of a dev. 1. Business model is to burn and churn new grads and this reflects in the code base. It is a hot mess. You will inevitably pick up terrible habits and practices in software development that will harm your future prospects. 2. Unrealistic deadlines. Regardless of whether you push to meet them, you will be let go. 3. Obsolete tech stack (mostly PHP) 4. It is mandatory to blame someone- literally name drop- on every bug ticket. If you do not point the finger at someone, by default, the dev who picks up the bug is blamed. This creates a toxic environment of pointing fingers. While this is mostly at the team level, the culture of throwing others under the bus to save face resonates through the company. 5. Micromanagement and 0 flexibility. There could be a snow storm with all school districts closed and you will be expected to be at the office on time.
