Pros

Paylocity provides flexibility to work remotely in jobs where in the office work is not required. It's great to be able to manage yourself or get input as you need. Not everyone fits the same mold.

Cons

Annual performance review and annual pay increase are not done at the same time. This is kind of temporary kick especially if the manager says, 'hey you are doing fantastic! I don't know how much of an increase you will get but you will get one' If an employee is a high performer, they won't stick around and wait to see if the company truly appreciates their contribution to the company. Compensation does not seem to be commensurate with hard skills but with how long someone has been employed. Value add should be compensated accordingly.

Pros

I reviewed Paylocity as honestly and thoroughly as I could, having only worked here 4 months at the time of my first review. Since then, much has changed. At that time, I recommended the leadership focus on our culture because so many out-of-industry folks had been hired, and they listened! We ended up with a new sales process I am honored to use in the field that allows those with and without industry experience to tell the Paylocity story in a compelling way. So, what can I say about Paylocity that hasn't been said? For starters, the compensation is unreal. The leadership remains stellar--the support I have is more than I could ask for. If I have a question at 8pm, my director is there. If I need to roll out early and help my wife with our kids, I shoot a text. Our team is a family. We celebrate wins and help each other through losses, personally and professionally. Finally, our place in the HCM space is unrivaled. Our developers rock! They listen to us and to clients, and we continue to lead the industry with technology. You should see the high-5s I get in demos on a weekly basis. I'll be here till I retire or they kick me out!

Cons

Still can't think of many. The bad leaders have been weeded out, the sales process is flawless--I work for the best employer in technology, hands down. I will say you have to adapt. I've learned 2 completely different sales processes, 2 ways of doing client paperwork, 5 new ancillary products, etc. in 14 months. I love that sort of stuff, but realize many people are change-averse. Also, you can't be lazy...not a con, just good to point out this isn't the 25 hour a week sales job you may have come from. You will be held accountable for lack of activity.
