Pros

Fifteen years ago I joined a small company that really cared about employees and providing a great work environment for EVERYONE they hired. Now, we have grown to a publicly traded company with over 5k employees and they STILL care about providing a great working environment for everyone they hire. We are a widely diverse group of people that really feels like family. In addition most positions offer a clear path to advancement within the company.

Cons

There is a LOT to learn if you are new to this industry so it is often difficult for new hires that are not already working in payroll. However, if you are a willing to learn, it is a great opportunity to enter the industry and grow with it.

Pros

Incredible culture. that runs throughout the organization. Super impressive leadership who are very personable. Everyone at this company has a story that someone they know brought them over by referral so lots of close connection. Growth is very exciting to be a part of. Pay and benefits are among the best I've seen in my position.

Cons

Super fast pace in complex industry with lots of details. Can be tough to internal and consume all the new components of this role coming from out of industry.

Pros

- Oriented towards remote workers (even before Covid) - Leadership really cares for their employees' well-being and seeks to provide people with a work environment they really love being a part of - Very competitive compensation - 6 week parental leave - Highly complex problems to solve, which makes for enjoyable and rewarding work. - I feel like I truly can have an impact on our organization and our product. - People across Paylocity tend to care a lot about doing excellent work and are willing to lend a hand/knowledge.

Cons

- It seems like some teams have people who really love the work we're doing (mine included), and others that are really struggling. So I wonder if the other teams are feeling as empowered and valued as others are. - Chalk it up to years of rapid growth, but our internal processes and technologies we use tend to change often, which makes me feel reluctant to adopt the latest way of doing something.
