      Benefits, Salary, work/life balance. Work locations.

      Lack of structure, lack of direction, mixed messages from senior management, senior management only hears one point of view and doesn't consider multiple options before choosing. Knee jerk decisions that unnecessarily cost the company millions.

      Global company, big commitment to improving lives through learning

      Pros

      It's a big global company in the FTSE 100, owns the Financial Times and part of Penguin, and helps millions of learners around the world improve their lives. There are fantastic benefits from health care, share schemes, and pension to individual bonus plans, opportunity to travel and improve yourself. It has a clear direction following a recent global restructure.

      Cons

      Many systems and technologies haven't changed quick enough to respond to needs in the market., We have produced products in platforms that often aren't compatible or user-friendly without properly testing or reviewing them around the world. This is a big source of frustration. Communication from senior management with regards to restructuring and vacancy filling could be better. It often feels like they are talking about many things behind closed doors that we don't know about.
