Pros

I do graphic design work for Pearson. I would say, that as a company, Pearson tries to be a fair as possible. Where I work the people are pleasant to work with, the facility we work in is nice, the equipment I use is good. All in all, it makes for a very pleasant work experience.

Cons

It's the same negative of working for any company -- someone above you makes decisions that impact you, and it's not always what you desire to happen.

Pros

Interesting and intelligent coworkers. A few (very few) managers have a decent streak . Did I already say that the coworkers are intelligent and interesting people to work with?

Cons

Temper tantrum management style of most managers. All levels hide work-related info from employees in the level below. Hording info in order to get and keep power is a desperate act of an incompetent, and it hurts the company, not just the employees.
