      Pros

      It was at one time--before John Fallon became CEO--a wonderful place to work with rewarding work creating high quality educational books and other content, with intelligent and creative colleagues while turning a nice profit.

      Cons

      The company has lost its vision, claiming to be a media company with no tangible plans to make that happen. Eliminating staff, reorganizing in a sloppy way, and rebranding does not contribute to a better product or make Pearson a media company.

      Smart, kind, talented co-workers Great benefits and competitive salary Ability to work from home

      Cons

      CEO John Fallon has no vision for how to transition the company into the digital age, which has resulted in regular restructurings, constant lay-offs, and poor employee morale. He's completely disconnected from his employees. There's no path for growth.

      Pros

      Diverse, passionate and progressive coworkers. Everyone pretty much felt like they were contributing to a greater purpose. Benefits and ability to work from home.

      Cons

      Constant reorgs, even when Marjorie was CEO, keeps everyone guessing and job roles moving so by now, nobody is confident in their decision making abilities. Lots of managing "up" on behalf of the mid-managers, so the worker bees tended to be pretty disconnected from what was expected of them.
