Pros

You get a company car and great insurance!

Cons

Sales Reps are not safe. They are getting rid of Senior Reps, hiring inexperienced people who will drink their kool-aid, work 90 plus hours a week, don't know enough to think critically about the job or responsibilities, with little potential for bonus. It is frowned upon to take office days, which leaves little time to follow up with instructors. You can not do the job and succeed by knocking on 20 doors a day, driving 3 hours, answering emails and tech questions until wee hours of the night. There is no job security, if you question them you are put on a "success plan", if you fail to make your numbers one semester don't be surprised if you are put on a plan. They have fired top performers who missed their numbers 1 year out of 8. You used to have down time in the summer and during December, don't be surprised if your vacation is denied. They are firing reps instead of laying them off. The technology is not cutting edge. It's difficult to use for both the instructor and student. You will not succeed in this job if you can't sell technology year after year. Your bonus will be tied to it, and you will not make any money. It is so bad, it appears they have asked their managers to write positive review on here!

Pros

The Pearson eCollege location is a great location, and a nice facility. The mission of online education is a positive thing to be a part of.

Cons

Extremely unethical, and non-supportive leadership. Several "Soft" layoffs have happened by the company writing up negative reviews of people with proven good records of work, then running them out so they don't have to pay severance. Retribution for anyone asking questions of upper management, or questioning policies or procedures in a professional way. There is zero tolerance for independent thinking, or questioning the broken system of leadership.

Pros

Wonderful work life balance, plenty of paid vacation. However, you will get plentiful resources for learning but not use them . Not good for someone with ambitious career. But its a choice people are welcome to make and live off their life.

Cons

- No promotion for many years - "Leaders" keeps changing. They mess things up, take their golden parachute to be taken over by new "leaders", rinse and repeat. - Heavily vendor dependent. They want to outsource just about anything - Many VPs, SVPs but almost no engineers, people with hand-on skills. You cannot ideate and build anything - Lately people from Accenture came and made multi year deals with Cognizant Deloitte HCL IBM etc. and laid off people who spent 2-3 decades - Low pay - Internal bickering and politics, favoritism will drain your energy and motivation to contribute anything. Either you get work to do because you are your manager's buddy, relative, same color etc or you do nothing and get paid till you get fired - SVPs and VPs invest in many startups and try to get those companies in without any due diligence so that they can profit from its success.
