Pros

- If there is work, it can be interesting. - The benefits are good. - Plenty of flexibility to work from home as needed.

Cons

- All processes are ridiculously complicated and convoluted. - So many processes/tasks are manual that in a healthy company would have been automated years ago. - This leads to an extraordinary number of errors. - Which in turn leads to few contracts being renewed, - so there is less and less work. - Employees are scared they'll be targeted for the next inevitable lay-off, so lots of negativity and stress amongst them. - Very small raises. - Laughable bonuses.

Pros

A lot of great people, interesting projects, and a clear meaningful contribution to society.

Cons

Too many projects do not learn from the previous projects and make all the same mistakes again. Plan up front instead of trying to retrofit after the fact. Craftsmanship is preached, but not actually supported. Too many good people let go or leaving since senior management changed, and it has gotten to the point where quality people are leery of working for them due to instability.
