Not what it used to be

Pros

The families and kid we care for are wonderful and appreciative of their nurses. The pay is decent for home care. Decent benefits.

Cons

The company is not the same since they were sold. The company used to put all their focus on the care of their kids and their employees. But now it is difficult staying in the job because higher management is so focused on making changes and making money that the nurses and families are left frustrated and worried. They care more about nitpicking charting and changing things simply because they think their way is better, instead of focusing on how the kids are being looked after. The companies priorities have shifted and the future doesn't look good. I used to love the company and all my supervisors until now. The only thing keeping me in this job is my love for my patients and families.

Pros

health insurance is great and provides good options.

Cons

This company makes promises they cannot keep. They overwork their employees and completely under value them. The "on-call" system is horrible and does not pay accordingly. They also require everyone to be "on-call", they do not care if you are not qualified for the role or not. The company cares more about growing and expanding and does not appropriately address the current issues at hand. They pretend to "hear" and "value" their employees and then do absolutely nothing to resolve the issues that would allow the employees to perform their jobs better. The care for patients is also out of wack, how can you care for the patients properly when you are sending employees to their house on call that are not qualified, or not providing the proper tools for employees that are? Prepare to be overworked and have zero work/life balance.
