Pros
PHS truly cares about their patients. I've witnessed case managers go above and beyond to advocate when it comes to contacting the right people to get clarification on orders, med refills, or specific resources. I haven't had any "bad" encounters with nurses in the home. Everyone does their part and is willing to help the next nurse on shift with some tasks. Scheduling is phenomenal with my time preferences. If you reach out to the office, they will hear you out and take action. Every time I've reached out to the office about my hours or my workload, they've been prompt to respond which made me feel really supported!
Cons
Compensation could be more competitive compared to other companies. Support from the office is inconsistent but this is because office nurses have been working in the field from nurse shortages. The work can be repetitive and there aren't many opportunities to grow further in your career. It's great for people who like to know what to expect and enjoy a consistent routine. You really get to know your patients and almost become part of the family.
