Schedule flexibility, autonomy, & ability to gain new born experience quickly

Cons

Low pay in comparison to other jobs in the area and low staff rates. Hourly pay is based on time spent at the location. If the cenus is low for the shift you will only receive two hours pay. If needing to call out it may be difficult to find someone to cover.

The mother-baby unit is a good place to be in the hospital.

Cons

Low pay, no guaranteed hours, lots of training, feels like a rip-off for the parents, no advancement (and it gets repetitive)
