      Pros

      People centric, collaborative, transparent, focused, and fun. This is how I describe the employee population and culture at Penn Mutual. We are all in the same boat rowing to the same location and enjoying doing it together.

      Cons

      Lingering signs of the smaller company it used to be still exist. In some ways though that allows for people to flex and do more than what's outlined in their specific job description.

      Supportive, Flexible, and Truly Fulfilling Work

      Pros

      I joined Penn Mutual right around the time I found out I was expecting my first child—and I couldn’t have landed in a better place. The flexibility here is incredible. As a new mom, having the space to manage both work and life without guilt has meant everything. The work itself is exciting and challenging. I get to partner with smart, driven people on projects that really matter. And the team? So supportive. Everyone shows up for each other, and there's a real sense of collaboration and trust. I’ve felt empowered from day one. It’s rare to find a company that values your expertise, supports your life outside of work, and keeps you engaged every step of the way.

      Cons

      Like many companies in the industry, some of the tools and systems have historically lagged behind modern standards. That said, there’s now clear momentum and real investment in modernization which is a positive —and it’s exciting to be part of that transformation.
