Pros

Flexible hours On the job training Able to network with faculty Good student job for full time students Work as little or as much as your schedule requires

Cons

Pay is lower than one would expect from a large university. The work hours are also very low, usually 3-4 per week max. Good for most students, but if you want to make any real money look elsewhere.

Pros

Great place to do serious multi-disciplinary research. Excellent facilities, renowned faculty and competent technical staff. People all around are willing to help acheive your research goals.

Cons

People take long vacations or out of office for extended period of time. I have seen people leave as early as 3.30 pm! Too many rules and regulations to follow while doing research. Parking rules are outrageous .
