Pros

The ability to transfer and decent pay but other than that nothing else is worth listing as this company has lots of issues with staffing and management.

Cons

The hours suck working second shift when you have kids. It was always a hassle when you want a vacation and the management is a joke!

Pros

If you are a self starter and can work with very little supervision, this is the place for you. It also has a great team of professionals that are there if you need them.

Cons

Even though you have no supervision, be prepared to answer for every little thing that you do. They do not trust people and employees have to prove over and over that they are trustworthy. Penske doe not do evaluations or pay raises. The raises are not required to stay, but evaluations are very important to success of any level of employees.

Not Military friendly to Employees

Pros

Decent pay (when you get it). Training (when you get it).

Cons

Huge conflicts with military responsibilities. Shop is now requiring signed written notification prior to every drill. Not difficult for typical published ones, but its the Army and report times and dates can and do change with little notice.Taking a lot of heat for that. Then Penske cut all pay differential without notice after paying for nine months and two different shops. Management is blaming the Union for not having military pay differential in their contract and the Union is blaming the company for cherry picking policy. It doesn't matter when your paycheck is almost cut in half because the Army requires your presence elsewhere. They won't allow time to be made up on off days either even though others (male) have supposedly done so in the past. No idea how this company is winning awards for being military friendly because that's just not the case anymore. Not sure if all active guard and reservists have had pay differentials suddenly eliminated, or if others were ever given it. Same with written notification prior to every drill. Perhaps this one is strickly on me because I'm young and female. I joined Penske believing they were supportive of women in the shop and the military but in reality it is the exact opposite.
