Pros

There aren't any I can think of. I only have negative memories.

Cons

I'd previously posted a review which was removed from Glassdoor. It seems all reviews prior to the name change from Calyx to Perceptive have been removed from this company page. Calyx as it was when I worked there was dreadful. A completely out of touch C-suite who would constantly pat their own backs and not be honest with their employees. The day after Calyx's acquisition by a venture capital firm was announced on a townhall, I was brought into a meeting with my manager and department head and let go for business reasons, told to log off immediately and not come back. I also have written confirmation from them after going through ACAS that they didn't follow the full legal process to let me go, as I wasn't allowed anyone from my union in my meeting with management. Salary was poor compared to the market. Upper management also wanted nothing to do with process improvements. Systems were old, complicated and there were no frameworks on how departments should interact with eachother. It was a free for all which led to delays on project deliverables.

Thank you for following us on Glassdoor. With the merger and creation of Perceptive neither of the previous companies are now on Glassdoor. It sounds like you left Calyx over 2 years ago. In the last 2 years a lot has changed. We’ve had more than 11K trials implemented, 800 approvals supported and have 50 years of experience. We hope you continue to follow us on social media for updates on how we serve science from pre-clinical to late-phase imaging solutions and randomisation and trial supply management (RTSM).

Pros

Good co-workers and team members Learning opportunities available Easy to transfer between departments

Cons

Career advancement is limited Promotions appear to be based on personal relationships rather than performance Required overtime without additional compensation Limited communication between departments Extreme favoritism,Very clicky environment,People who play politics get promoted: Upper management decisions do not appear to prioritize employee concerns, Management doesn't care about you, they only care about number and their career development HR processes do not adequately address employee feedback Compensation significantly below market rates No salary increases for extended periods Summary: Keep Laying off good employees while hiring contractors. Random layoffs, Every 6 months there's layoffs, if you care about the long term development, DO NOT join into this company.

Pros

-Work life balance -No Micromanagement -employees are very co-operative and supportive.

Cons

- Frequent layoffs, it was once in a year in 2024 and in 2025 it became a regular thing and dont know when someone will be laid off, its not related to performance. - They have recruited a team of 4 people and after 7 months they removed the entire team, no vision, if you dont have the vision why should you hire and remove someone. - They are spending lot of amount in higher management but when it comes to layoffs they are focusing on transaction level and which is increasing work load at transaction level, who is the real impactors. - With the layoffs there is no positivity and energy at the ground level and everyone is scared whether they will be there tomorrow. - Most of people are checking their invites and if its 1-1 then they are scared till the meeting happened. - they recently built a 5 years plan and i guess the plan is for laying off people.
