Pros

-The people in the executive leadership team are determined, smart, and experienced. -They treat you like an adult -Most of the folks I encountered are extremely helpful -Their tool stack is above average -Their quotas and comp plans are somewhat reasonable

Cons

-In my experience, leadership was reactive instead of proactive with rep development -There is no training and minimal discussion about expectations and roadmap to success. -There was a huge disconnect and divide between the sales and marketing teams.

Pros

- passionate colleagues. It may sound vague and cliche, but we are talking about people who dedicated decades to the community. It really shows - you can come up with any weird subject and questions and get people diving into it to help find answers - huge range of subjects and technologies (well, within rdbms) - you can have impacts on the field - strong open source values - full inter-cultural remote. Over time you get to learn how other cultures live and work, the diversity of people is astounding - human-sized, you can get to know people over time For support: - 20% of the time dedicated to self improvement and projects you may have - strong and reasonable definition of how the workload and shifts are organized - very strong leadership, both technical and management. - seniors are excellent coaches - the team is really helpful on technical problems - 2 hours per week dedicated to finding technical solutions to any subject - reasonable amount of mandatory meetings. You don't have those long daily meetings nobody benefits from - the processes and tools are just working. And continuously improving. - you're not judged on quantity, but on quality regarding tickets

Cons

generally speaking: - full intercultural remote is not for everyone. It's an effort. You may feel isolated as you may not have someone else sharing your culture and perspective in the team (can ultimately be very nice). Support: - requires to work on the weekend rotation (with extra pay). Currently around 1 every 1.5 months - it happens we work as "best-effort" in obscure technologies, which can end up complicated - can be stressful at times depending on the amount of urgencies in tickets
