Pros

Pay is above average for this area and what you do. the ability to flex schedule most of the time if someone covers you. The work is very easy. It’s union.

Cons

It’s a 24/7 operation, 12 hour days two shifts. You will work 48 hours minimum a week 4-12s. Only 7 federal holidays are observed with one floating. You may or may not work on holidays. You will rotate from 12 hour days to 12 hour nights every month. Might be a pro or con but with all the hours you work you will make upwards of 51k a year starting out. Promotion potential is limited. Health benefits for a family are about 100$+ weekly.

Pros

This is the first company I have worked for that claims to offer discounts to employees and actually allow all of their employees to access the discounts.

Cons

Management in my department is based on nepotism and the environment is hostile. Not openly, but you do have to walk like you are in a minefield to avoid getting in trouble.
