Pros

If you have the right job it is a great place to work.

Cons

Lack of pay raises, respect for employees, poor communication with employees, they will work you into the ground often giving you the work of 2-3 other people. You either take it or leave it.

Pros

Good friendly people, open work environment. Great pay for the area. Strong business which is repostioning itself to be less commodity driven which means it will less impacted less by significant changes is prices of corn, grain, etc

Cons

Perdue is still stuck in a very "Eastern Shore" way of thinking. Talent is being brought in from other geographical areas and they are making a major difference in the company

Pros

I had good immediate supervisors, and of course you get great discounts on chicken. Pay was good for the industry, and benefits aren't bad either. On-site wellness center.

Cons

Not a very positive working environment. I was told 50 hours a week in the interview; turned out to be 65+, sometimes upwards of 80. Meetings were regularly scheduled for times that were convenient to day shift supervisors but required night shift to come in several hours early. Upper management (with the exception of the plant manager) was very negative, threatening to fire us on a regular basis. Also, upper management was almost never present on night shift to see what was going on.
