Pros

After 25 years with the same non-profit, I found myself unemployed thanks to COVID-19. I felt lost and unsure of what my next career might look like. Then my phone rang...it was opportunity. Ryan Grable (CMO) called to see if I was interested in joining his team. That call was life changing for me - and now I'm part of a growing company and an amazing team! PerfectServe has some of the best leadership I've ever had the privilege of working with. My supervisor Gabrielle Eagles is strategic, driven, and stretches me to be better. I learn something new every single day. Coming from a non-profit background it makes me feel good knowing that the work we do at PerfectServe helps patients, their families, and the care teams that care for us all. I will forever be grateful to Ryan, Gab and the entire PerfectServe team for believing in me and seeing that I had a lot to offer a new company.

Cons

I honestly have not experienced any "cons". The company offers wonderful benefits and they truly do want their staff to live true work life balance.

abysmal, untrustworthy leadership

Pros

Many of the lower level roles are populated with bright, ambitious, talented individuals.

Cons

CEO is deeply dishonest. Near-verbatim quote from a meeting with the technical side of the organization: "If we're reliably honest [with prospective clients] about what our platform can do, we won't make the sale." Senior leaders are comfortable lying to paying customers about what the company offers; they have no compunction at all about lying to employees. One leadership meeting ended abruptly when the CEO started screaming at a junior employee for questioning the direction of the company--that employee was fired within the next 24 hours to discourage others from speaking out. The department I worked in was deprived of a merit-based increase that went out to the rest of the company. When asked about it, the director lied to everyone in the department and promised they would 'restructure our pay.' This never happened, and no progress was ever even attempted on it. Numerous critical roles within every level of the technical side of the organization have been significantly understaffed for years with no meaningful effort by leadership to address this--consequently, most people within those roles are horribly overworked and turnover rates are exceptionally high. The company has been hemorrhaging talent--especially on the technical side--for months and have made little or no effort to replace them. Leaders are concerned entirely with sales and acquiring other companies to make PerfectServe appear to be a much more attractive investment opportunity than it actually is.

Hi there, As always, we take the feedback we receive on Glassdoor very seriously, so thanks for comments here. After we saw your post, we conducted an (albeit informal) investigation by speaking with several other people who attended the same meeting, including a long-time member of our People Ops team. We of course understand that observations like these are bound to be subjective in nature, but what we heard from others didn't align completely with your description. This particular meeting touched on some extremely important subjects, but ultimately it appears that the conversation was respectful and substantive even if everybody didn't agree about everything. But, disagreement is a natural part of this process, and we never discourage people from raising their hand if something is wrong. Regardless, we appreciate your candidness here, and we apologize if anything our CEO said felt misleading. Serving customers well so they can provide high-quality care for patients has always been our top priority, and our low churn (<4%) tells us that we're meeting our target more often than not. We're proud of that, but we know we can always be better!
