Good people, good product, jury is still out on new management
Pros
The people you work with day to day are great. Friendly, fun, helpful, knowledgeable, open to feedback and discussion. Could not ask for better. The core product is pretty solid. Loyal customers who love it, love the excellent support. Reasonable benefits, not the best ever, but not bad at all.
Cons
Recent buyout by Summit in Jan 2016 resulted in a lot of lay-offs (~30%), this has left the atmosphere very subdued and 4-5 months later we are all still trying to work out how the new company works (it certainly feels like a completely new company, not the old one continued). Focus now is much more on selling than the technology, which is a big change for many of the existing staff, and I wouldn't be surprised by a fair number of departures as people move to something more suited to them. This could well make openings for new people to join, but be aware of the fairly strained atmosphere you would be joining at the moment.
