Pros

REALLY nice coworkers, everyone has kids or pets to talk about, monthly massage

Cons

Owned by Summit Partners (private equity) so they only care about growing the company to sell in 3-5 years. Went through 3 rounds of layoffs because the balance sheet didn't support salaries. Not a growth company, you are just going in, doing your work and hoping you won't get let go tomorrow.

Pros

Great benefits like health insurance, PTO and snacks Loved the variety and challenges I had when first started.

Cons

No direction or help figuring out/ training, not same core values across all departments, and long hours with no additional bonus or promotions. You don’t get promoted on hard work, so if you’re looking to grow here I’d look else where.

* Relaxed environment * Smart coworkers * Half days on Fridays

Cons

* Poor compensation and small bonuses / CoL adjustments which makes it seem like the employees are helping pay for acquisitions * Career advancement is non-existent * Hiring focus in India means that US teams are augmented with Indian workers making collaboration difficult because of time zones * The lack of investment in engineering stifles innovation and leads to subpar feature releases * Engineers are often kept in the dark about larger initiates and given little context about why they are doing things

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. As CEO, this feedback is important information that helps us make changes to improve our work environment. Our employees are our most important asset and we want to create a conducive environment. It would be great to learn more and if you are comfortable, please reach out to me and let's talk. As of April, 2024, we have promoted 115 employees including 27 in our engineering team. Communication is hugely important and an area of emphasis for all of our leaders in Perforce. I'd like to understand how we can improve project communication to ensure you know what you are working on and the impact that project has on our business. I do look at new products or versions as a guide of our ability to innovate. We have released new products like Digital Asset Management, Helix Core Cloud and several new features/services/modules in Puppet, Gliffy and many others, Our annual Hackathon drives significant innovation and anyone can participate in those Hackathons. Certainly, we do have to carefully chose where innovation happens and we intend to continually invest in innovation where it makes sense. Thanks again for providing this feedback to allow us to know where we can improve.
