Pros

..... Thinking..... still thinking..... I got nothing! Seriously though, I can’t think of one my quality of life is slowly diminishing here. See below and stay away. When you interview here ask the hard questions. Ask about transportation issues, warehouse issues and I suggest contacting a few employees on LinkedIn before accepting their offer.

Cons

They say “We Deliver” but the lie detector tested that was a lie. Union drivers=horrible delivery service. Trucks late daily or they just don’t finish routes. Customers are not happy! Warehouse is atrocious. They can’t seem to figure out how to load a truck properly so the driver isn’t picking through skids of product throwing it everywhere. They claim to be a “team”, only 1/4 of the players are. Buyers are ridiculous they don’t communicate at all. Try getting an answer from 90% of the people here, you are on your own. Losing accounts left and right. We were actually told at a meeting “Open 6 accounts and you should have 3 left” like it’s acceptable. Training is obsolete, no brand training, no computer training nothing. Unacceptable. I could go one for days but you get the point. Do yourself a favor go work for Usfoods the innovator in food service! Wish I never left!

Pros

hourly pay, there is 1 router that is good and should be running the show in transportation.

Cons

Horrible equipment, Pallet jacks die after 5 mins of use, its a revolving door in the transportation office. Ive been there 1.5 years and they are on their 3rd wave of supervisors, and you cant move up because they hire only from outside. The last wave of supervisors were all from Athens (the garbage company) They signed a HORRIBLE union contract where you pay for your medical (PPO only no HMO option) you pay your own 401k (no pension) no overtime until after 40 hours a week and they dont protect jobs, ive seen 12 drivers be fired for petty BS and not once has a union rep showed up to defend them. The Union NEVER forgets to take that dues though. The Dues is the money we pay them for existing because thats literally ALL they do. Local 630 is a joke. You also need to constantly monitor your paychecks as they will short you any chance they can get to do so and when you have a problem with it, HR doesnt answer the phone nor return phone calls, i had to find out the HR ladies personal cell phone number to get my money after a month of no returned calls.
