Pros

If you wish to earn money by corrupt means (involve urself with your Leader specially Life Science division). If you are Tamil by birth If you can bow your head down to toe of your boss If you have ever worked with your Boss's ex company If you wish to be a part of your Boss's Parallel Running Business in same domain You can sit at your home and enjoy your brunch etc. by just praising your boss all the time and bullying your team member. Just BE Blind . Just Dont Argue anything with 40 - 45 years old bosses specially Tamilian seniors and Enjoy your Meeting Lunch and Dinner.

Cons

You will be unfortunate enough to join Life Science division if you fall to any category Preference wise :- Being Non-tamilian, Being Non-south Indian, Being Self-esteemed person. and If you will try to do real WORK and bring business with help from technical staff (who are not gonna leave this company until they DIE) No Work Ethics, No Discount Structure, No Perks and Benefits Criteria, Non performer will become achiever if he is close to your boss, Top Class Reverse Racism in surprising Indian Context Don't Expect anything from HR because they are more worried about their Increments. Every single purchase of PC, Printer, involving vendor like Taxi or Stationary Supplier have a High Level of Corruption. Same grade people will be getting different travel and lodging . your colleague may be running parallel life science business with help of your boss with great conflict of interest.

Pros

Good flexibility, nice office environment and gym

Cons

1) Terrible benefits. Health insurance is prohibitively expensive. Prepare to pay a high premium and that most everything out of pocket due to a high deductible, co-insurance and co-pays. PTO is stingy and doesn't carry over. 2) Miserable employees / corporate culture. I met with staff across the org and found predominantly overworked and frustrated employees struggling to thrive in a difficult work environment. It is extremely challenging to accomplish anything at PerkinElmer. You will exhaust yourself trying and then quit in frustration. There is a lack of leadership, and lack of staff to accomplish the goals set by upper management. The tendency is to try and do as much as possible with third party vendors despite a pattern of poor results. 3) High turnover, constant re-orgs. 26 people I worked directly with left in my short tenure and I went through four managers. 4) Priorities misaligned with execution. PerkinElmer perceives its focus to be on customers, innovation and quality but it fails to provide customers with what they are demanding and stifles the input of younger, newer hires opting instead to prioritize cost containment and time efficiencies. Driving shareholder value is all that really matters here.

Pros

Okay pay, good products but losing quality

Cons

Catty upper management with little actual knowledge. Cheapest people i have ever worked for, reflects in the employees they obtain and the customer satisfaction. Almost everyone is unhappy due to huge potential but terrible execution. Company obsesses over analytics to prevent doing actual work.
