      Pros

      Variety of resources. Lots of smart people. Good overall work environment and pleasant group of people.

      Cons

      Company is not innovative. As a large company it is risk-averse and prefers to enter new areas via acquisition of smaller companies instead of growing capacity from within. This makes it a bit boring if you are interested in trying new things.

      PE is a well-run and very focused company dedicated to developing and producing unique and excellent products that make a difference in patients' lives.

      Cons

      If you are a company acquired by Perkin Elmer. Run for your life. The will shut you down and move you to Hopkinton. They invest nothing into R&D. They inquire companies and run the products into the ground.
