      For some reason the industry thinks highly of Perkin Elmer so it looks good on a resume.

      Cons

      Lack of clear direction. Lack of communication. Poor leadership and management. Non-competitive pay. IT dept is 10 years behind the curve. Health Insurance co-pay and premiums are very high especially if you need to support family. Change and vertical moves happen very slowly. PKI appears to be another corporate BS company that is only concerned about dollar bills behind closed doors. The passion for health care and science is completely lost from my perspective.

      The people in the main were really nice in an old fashioned way. No political back stabbing that I was aware of

      The facilities department. Never worked with such negativity before or since.
