Pros
Good pay and benefits except time off. Company has a Use it or lose it for Vacation. What they don't tell you is that you never get approval for time off. At the end of my first year I lost 3 vacation days, the only three I accumulated. The second year by November I had only two approved days off. In 15 months I had only two days of vacation time off.
Cons
If you want to be on call 14 hours a day every 3 weeks this is the job for you. With the amount of false positives in monitoring you need to always be near your laptop from 8am - 10pm 7 days a week. You also can not plan to take time off during those weeks you are on call. Which I stress again is every 3 weeks.
