Pros

Talented individual contributors who are trying to do good work despite the environment Well-known brands on a resume Exposure to multiple parts of the merchandising lifecycle (out of necessity, not structure)

Cons

Misleading interview and recruiting process Abrupt removal of promised WFH flexibility under the guise of “trust issues” Office location and commute not accurately represented upfront Outdated technology and equipment despite claims of tech investment Required use of personal devices for work without company-provided equipment Invasive security practices and excessive monitoring Below-market pay and lackluster benefits Culture that tolerates unprofessional and inappropriate behavior Promotion promises that are not honored Terminations handled poorly while money is spent on optics and appearances Senior leadership disconnected from employee reality

Pros

Strong teams. Design driven. On trend.

Cons

Working in the NY office is by default a handicap because “you’re likely trying to take advantage of the company”. Sarcasm. They use cameras to watch employees, have completely Ruled out any work from home flexibility and the owner of the company knows very few names. High turnover.

Pros

I learned a lot and gained a strong skill set that I believe will help me apply for a similar role at another company.

Cons

- Overall management was really bad, which was the main reason I left despite enjoying the work itself. In the end, I was no longer happy. - There was no opportunity for career growth.
