Pros

1. Management is honest, it acts with a sense of responsibility and practices what it preaches: the top management does not splurge and enjoys exactly the same facilities as the general staff 2. Clean: as in great governance standard, with transparency in its working - I never felt that something was hidden from me: whatever was decided was shared with absolute openness 3. Constantly focused on new markets and products, hence, has the capability to change itself in response to market needs and probably nimbler than competition As long as it keep to these points, it should outgum competition

Cons

1. Salary levels not on par with industry. This leads to serious attrition and motivation issues and you as a Manager may find it difficult to address as salaries are tightly controlled, and not necessarily with equivalence in mind 2. Hence, people learn and grow and go ... to higher paying jobs elsewhere ... this can hurt you and the company 3. Some of the employee sharing seemd to be with the same people ... seemingly "connected" people, and if you were outside this group, your achievements could be overlooked. By the same token, not all "achievers" could be said to be on merit...
