Your Store Leader makes all the difference

I loved helping customers and their pets. Taking care of the animals and getting to see dogs come in every day was one of the best things about it.
Cons
Bad management is greatly rewarded. Just bad employees are rewarded. I had my first store "leader" who was an absentee who used company time to hang out at the bar. My second was so much worse. Monique Solano repeatedly destroyed good teams at multiple stores, running them into the ground, and yet she was rewarded with stores that were going well when she couldn't handle things falling apart. She was a walking disaster, but she was buddy-buddy with the district leader, so she was just handed everything she didn't deserve. It was rough. Don't expect to get rewarded for being a good employee. Be insubordinate, lazy, and love Disneyland and she'll promote you no problem. Work hard and she'll hate you.
