      Can be a wonderful and fun place to work but it's not for everyone.

      Pros

      High safety and animal care standards, open door policy between managers and associates, great benefits for full time associates, and significant amount of promotion opportunities.

      Cons

      It is a corporation so some policies can be a nuisance, generally the grooming salon is mostly female employees so drama varies between locations, almost all positions for associates are part time.

      Pros

      Working for this company is amazing. They totally understand that sometimes that you get into jams and you may be late for work or call in sick. The managers at Pet Smart call and ask if you're okay, not why are you late. They care about their employees and its a very friendly environment. Also, working with animals? Come on bro, nothing is better than that :D

      Cons

      Pet Smart has a strict policy when it comes down to how many hours that they can split up between the workers each week. One week you could work 32 hours a week, the next 19; the hours per week you have isn't very consistent.

      Humiliating and Degrading

      Pros

      Good work related growth opportunities, commissions are good, especially if your a manager. Good insurance.

      Cons

      As a salon manager I experienced mind games, gossip about me, and absolutely no support from the Store Manager or the OPs manager. After 24 yrs of grooming dogs I found that my experience was not wanted. I left feeling degraded.
