Pros

The pay was nice for a sales associate and a raise was given each year. Holiday pay was nice as well.

Cons

The pet food was not donated to animal shelters once expired for to liability concerns. I think an agreement could have changed this.

Oh no! We will gladly donate expired pet food to the local shelter. Can you let me know what store you worked at so we can fix this? Josh.patterson@petsensellc.com

Pros

Managing a Petsense store is like running your own little business. You are given the tools to create your own destiny. Of course there are guidelines, and management is always there to keep you on track.

Cons

The cash register and back office systems leave a lot to be desired. Being a new company, you would think there would be the very latest technology. No so..

Pros

I enjoyed being around the pets and helping the animals. It is sad!

Cons

Everything - I loved it at first - then the manager had us doing all the work - including his - never gave us updates or meetings. We repeated what we saw him doing at the front - he never kept the store stocked - I did all the cycle counts and inventory up to date. We did all the cleaning - stock room control-rotating filing-he was partial to the groomer (thought she was cute) she got away with everything and still does. Me and another girl worked around the clock sometimes 12 hour days and he would fudge the system so corporate wouldn't know. I finally called corporate to elaborate on some issues and they threw it back in my face and was confronted by my manager (who the complaint was about) and was dogged and looked down from management and corporate. So there was no open door policy. Corporate will be nice to you to your face and then treat you like a nobody. We opened that store and worked our butts off to be kicked out like an old bag of potato's. I planned on staying there. After I saw what kind of company they were and what type of people they put in management positions - I was over. Why do companies hire the stupid, lazy people for manager positions. It doesn't make sense. I could have made the store awesome but oh well. I hope they fold!
